Are you going to San Francisco?

Why yes, I am actually.

A last minute media trip has fallen into my lap and I am off to SF for a few nights. Has been a while since my last visit, so looking forward to reacquainting myself (the pic below is from Christmas 2010 when we flew from the UK where we were living to visit our beloved woofer Molly who had gone to live in SF with friends when we moved to the UK).

Tales from home and away

The first ever North & South Magazine travel compilation is out and I managed to get TWO stories in there (as well as a pic of my ugly mug and one of Bristol and myself standing atop Mt Vic on the back sleeve).

Destination Fabulous

Another story from the recent Adventure World media trip to India, this one about the pink city of Jaipur, is published in this week's NZ Woman's Weekly (click here to read).
 
Currently girding my loins for the flight to Auckland, then to LA, then an 11-hour layover, then a flight to Detroit and then another to Nashville. Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself!

Am, however, very much looking forward to the heat after yet another cold snap in Wellington.

Born in the USA

The  travel gods have awoken from their slumber and awarded me a media trip to the US - a 10 day famil from Tennessee to New Orleans at the end of next month with those wonderful folks at Trafalgar.

Have never been this far south, so I'm really excited about the chance to visit lots of fabulous places I can write the shizzle out of. I'm especially amped to visit Graceland - I'm no Elvis fan, but having been married by a particularly impressive one, I'm keen to check out the real Elvis' whare.  

On the way home, I'll be spending a couple of nights in LA with a mate from journalism school, so that should be fun.

Woohoo, what a fantabulous way to end a busy week!
