Inter-country adoption

It's time-consuming, expensive and frustrating but, say the parents I interviewed for this article on inter-country adoption, it's also incredibly rewarding.

Lulu Funk

A few weeks ago we drove up to Feilding to interview and photograph the woman behind Lulu Funk, the organic kids clothing company.

Interviews

The last few days have featured wall-to-wall interviews for stories - with everyone from an elite male ballet dancer (did you know they are generally fitter than rugby players?!) and a green building architect to a golf pro, a chef and an entrepreneur. I am now all questioned out.

But it's never a bad thing to be busy when you're self-employed. Now I just have to write the bleeding stories...

Coming up for air

I have just spent the past two days head down, bum up editing a cookbook for a well-known restaurant.

It was fun but exhausting and now I feel as though I could sleep for a week. Or at least until the second lot of proofs come back.

Eight years ago today

I was in Las Vegas, hitching my wagon to the Animator's for a story for NEXT Magazine (click here to read). 

The last eight years have been as wild a ride as the city where we made it legal. Thanks to my lovely, lovely boy for the fun, the adventures, the laughs, the tears and everything in between.

Here's to many more years just like them.
